during a discussion The Northern Territory state nomination occupation list has been updated with new occupations ahead of the launching of the $5 billion infrastructure projects’ loan scheme in July this year.

As the Federal Government prepares to launch the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF), the state government has updated its skills list with occupations that the Northern Territory government will sponsor for permanent (Subclass 190) and temporary (Subclass 489) visas to over 170 jobs.

According to Northern Australia Minister Josh Frydenberg, with 40% of Australia’s landmass, but only around 5% of the population, the potential for economic growth in the state is big. He is also added that the NAIF will support this growth and complement private sector investment.

Covering the entire territory including Palmerston, Katherine, Darwin, Nhulunbuy, and Alice Springs, the Northern Territory occupation list has 63 new occupation additions and has removed 24 jobs.
