Australia has agreements with certain countries - also known as Gazetted Countries. If you are a citizen of a Gazetted Country, it will be much easier to apply for a student visa. Students from Non-Gazetted Countries will usually be required to obtain a "Favourable Genuiness Assessment" from the Australian Embassy in their respective country of residence before applying to the educational institution for acceptance.
A student visa can only be granted if you wish to undertake a registered course or part of a registered course on a full-time basis which is registered by an Australian education provider registered with the Australian Government.
