The child must be a natural, adopted or step-child of an Australian citizen or permanent resident. The child has to be under 25 years of age, but if aged above 18, must be a full time student and fully dependent on their sponsoring parent. The child must also not be married or living in a de facto relationship or be engaged to be married.
