your visa options!
Unlike Skilled Migration there are no Points Test requirements for the Business Skills visa subclasses.
If you would like to establish a business in Australia, manage a new or existing business or even to invest in Australia, you may apply under this visa category.
The Business Skills (Provisional) visa allows holders to depart and re-enter Australia without limit during the 4 year validity period. Therefore the visa holders are not required to remain in Australia continuously.
Applicants must meet criteria which generally relate to:
- Age;
- English Language Ability;
- Business Career;
- Net Personal and Business Assets; AND
- Other business/employment/investment related criteria are required dependent on the visa subclass applied for.
There are various provisional visa subclasses, namely the business owner, senior executives or investors visa options that offer a pathway to permanent residency in Australia. There are also options to be nominated by a state/territory government of Australia. For sponsorship by the state/territory government, the visa requirements are generally lower. All visa options except the investor retirement offer a pathway to permanent residency.
The permanent business visas are for those who have met the required level of business whilst holding onto a provisional visa. If you are a high calibre business person, you may also apply for permanent residence under the Business Talent visa.
